Overview

The objective was to plan & implement a marketing campaign to support a sales event for four Volkswagen dealerships, in order to maximising new & used car sales over a specific 4-day time period.

These events allow dealerships a little leverage with the manufacturer to develop compelling offers and additional value, which help with the event’s success.

Objective

Increase sales with virtual-SMS email and direct mail campaign combining our online booking portal

Strategy

Big created campaign materials which included email, virtual-SMS and direct mail, with the aim of directing targeted customers to an online booking portal, which we also created. This portal was complimented by a ‘back-end’ portal for the customer to manage the appointments. POS materials were also created.

Each element was strategically timed to help build momentum. After the initial invitations, follow-up emails and virtual-SMS’s were also sent to customers to encourage those who hadn’t booked to do so.

Result

The event was a great success, leading to an impressive 468 appointments between the four sites. The customer’s excellent sales teams then did their part and ended up selling over 220 new & used cars during the event period.
